Account

Assets

Q. I would like others to be able to use my assets for free.
After submitting an asset, you can click “Register new product” from the User icon in the upper-right corner and register the asset as a product.
You can then publish the asset and allow other users to import it.

Q. I'm trying to delete an asset, but it's not working.
By default, assets that have been registered as products cannot be deleted.
If it's a free product, you can delete the asset by deleting the product information.
If the asset has already been registered as a paid product, it cannot be deleted.

Q. I accidentally deleted an asset that I submitted. How can I restore it?
A deleted asset cannot be restored.
However, you can upload it again.

Q. I set my asset to appear on My Page, but it doesn't appear in any search results.
Publicity settings for assets (not products) only apply to My Page, and will not appear in search results.

Q. What does search hints in asset settings mean?
When each item is checked, tags corresponding to the checked items will be automatically assigned when when it is registered as a product.
These will only be used in searches, and assets will not be systematically constrained by these settings.
For example, if you only check the “Designed for VC Room” checkbox, you can still use it in the Virtual Cast studio.
You can only use these settings to show what kind of assumptions the creator of the asset has made.

Q. Assets that I've acquired aren't appearing in my storage.
Free items may be removed at the seller's discretion, and deleted items cannot be used by anyone other than the original seller.

Q. How do I upload my VRM/VCI/GLB files?

Q. I'm trying to use the viewer's icon capture function, but the icon isn't being captured properly.
For Chromium-based browsers like Chrome and Edge, you will need to enable hardware acceleration in order to capture images.
Please check your browser's settings.

Q. Are there any precautions for allowing the use of viewers?
The viewer function displays the 3D model data on a client application such as a browser so that users can freely view it, and since it can be viewed from anywhere in 360 degrees, it can more accurately convey the contents of the model data to users.

This feature is protected by encryption and other technical safeguards against illegal extraction of data.
However, since the model data is displayed on the client application, the possibility of illegal extraction is not zero.
Please be aware of this and consider using this option.

Store and Products

Q. What happens when you make a product public or private?
Making a product public allows others to acquire it.
If a product is private, other users will not be able to access its product page or acquire it.
(You can still check information about a private product if you have acquired it previously.)
Any product or asset that has been set as Paid at any point cannot be removed.
Q. If I publish a product, will it be indexed by search indexes?
Yes, published products will be indexed.
Keep in mind that if a public product is later removed, it may take some time for search engine indexes to update.

Q. I tried to embed a video in the product information, but I got an error message that said the URL format is not correct.
You can only enter URLs from YouTube or Twitter.
Be sure to copy-paste video links directly.

Q. Embedded videos are not showing up when I view the product page in Firefox.
If you have the Do Not Track feature enabled in Firefox, videos will not play.
Either change your browser's settings or use a different browser.
Q. I want to delete a product.
Once a product is set as Paid, it cannot be removed.
If not, you are free to delete the product.
Any product that has been deleted will be removed from all users' purchase lists.

Q. What happens to assets that have already been acquired when you delete a product?
All deleted assets will be removed from the libraries of any users that have acquired them, and others will no longer be able to use or access them.

Q. How do I register a product?

Q. When I went to acquire a product, I got a warning about permission for giving the avatar a personality.
VRM files have several possible license settings.
Be aware that some VRM files may have rules or restrictions regarding who has permission to give an avatar personalities.
Only the original avatar creator has the authority to decide who has permission the control the avatar in certain ways.
  • avatars can only be controlled the original avatar creator.
  • avatars can only be controlled by those who have been given express permission by the original avatar creator.

If a VRM is set to “Authorized (all)” then anyone who meets the basic license requirements can control that VRM.

Q. What is "enable script debugging"?
This indicate Script Enable Debugging on VCI.
You can debug VCI script on Virtual Cast if this is enable.
We recommend this is disable when the asset register for the product.
Script Enable Debugging on the current VCI file is changed if you set “enable script debugging”.
This will occur internal overwrite changes.

Q. What should I do if I happen to find inappropriate content?

Q. Is there an upfront or monthly subscription fee to sell assets?
There is no upfront or monthly subscription fee.

Q. Do I have to pay a fee for selling products?
When a paid item is sold, 23% of the sale price will be deducted from the sale as a service fee.

Q. Are there any precautions to take when listing an asset?
Please be sure to read the store listing guidelines page.

Q. How do I sell my assets for a fee?
If you register your email address, you will be able to change price on the product registration page.

Q. Is it possible to change an asset that is currently sold for free to a paid asset?
If you register your email address, you will be able to set prices for items you have already listed for a fee.

Q. When assets sold for free are changed to paid for, what happens to the assets that were previously purchased?
Assets that you have already purchased will remain as they are.
If you wish to reset your free purchases, please delete the free product and re-list the new product.

Q. Are there any restrictions on replacing files for assets sold for free?
We ask that you follow the guidelines to avoid any problems with the buyer.
Q. I want to contact the seller.
You can contact the exhibitor only for a paid item.
Please contact through the item's section in your purchase history.

Q. Are there conditions for the product to be subject to recommended asset program?
Products in the Official Store and those priced below 100VCC are not subject of recommended asset program.

Q. My product is frozen.
The product being sold may be in violation of the User Store Guidelines.
The product has been removed from public view and is hidden.

Q. How do I remove a freeze on a product?
If you believe your product has been frozen in error, please request to have the freeze removed.
Please contact us through the Contact page to request unfreezing.
* We cannot guarantee that the freeze will be removed even if you contact us. We appreciate your understanding.

Serialcode

Q. What is serialcode
This is a 20-digit alphanumeric code that allows you to get special assets.
Serial codes will be distributed at events and as product purchase rewards.

Q. Can I use the serial code without an account?
This service is not available. Please create a new account to enjoy.

Q. How many times can I use it?
The serial code can only be used once.
It cannot be reused on another account.

Q. I used a different account by mistake can I start over?
Unfortunately, Not supported.

Withdrawal

Q. How to receive sales.
From the first day of the second month after the date of sales, you can apply for a withdrawal request or exchanging to VCC.
However, please note that you cannot request for funds to be transferred unless you have accumulated more than 5,000 yen in sales that you can withdraw.
Also, you need to have a PayPal account to transfer funds.

Q. Can I make withdrawals in USD and other currencies?
We are very sorry, but withdrawals can only be made in JPY.

Q. I would like to change my registered PayPal email address.
You can change this from your account settings.

Q. What are the fees for withdrawals?
A fee of 300 yen will be deducted from the transfer amount when you make a withdrawal.

Linked Apps

Q. Assets in my storage aren't showing up in my linked apps.
Linked apps can only use assets that are in your inventory, which you can edit from the Home screen.
Place assets in your inventory in order to use them in your linked apps.

Q. I want to link an app that I or my company have made.

Q. I'm not receiving emails to my registered address.
Please check your spam folder.

Other

Q. What is the inventory?
Your inventory lets you transfer your assets to linked apps.
Placing an asset in your inventory will allow you to use that asset within any linked apps.
You can place up to 100 assets in your inventory.
For more information, please check the section about using How to use the inventory.

Q. What is VCC?
VCC stands for “Virtual Cast Credit” and is the currency used within VirtualCast Store.
You can use VCC to purchase products.

Q. How do I get VCC?
You can purchase on Purchase VCC page.

Q. What is the storage?
Your storage displays all assets that you have uploaded, acquired, and made public.

Here you can view and edit all of your asset and product and information (other users cannot view this information).

Q. What is My Page?
My Page contains your profile and all assets and products that you have made public.
Keep in mind that other users can view this page.

Q. I want to delete Seed-san.
It is not possible to delete the initial assets.
There is a function to hide the assets in the storage, so please use that function.

Q. How do I increase my upload capacity?
We are currently looking into ways to increase the number and amount of content you can upload.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

Q. Setting the viewer's quality to medium or low is causing display issues.
These quality settings are still currently in beta.
