Quit VirtualCast and <wrap em>re-configure the room-scale in SteamVR</wrap>. Then restart VirutalCast again.

VirutalCast captures motion with the position of the head. Therefore, this problem may occur when you calibrate or configure the room-scale with extremely low or high HMD position. Configure the room-scale as precise as possible.
